VoicePay is a subsidiary of the Voice Commerce Group a company based in Jersey that focuses on the application of voice signature technology in the payments and financial services industries. The VoicePay management team created and built WorldPay, a leading Internet payment processor which was acquired by The Royal Bank of Scotland Group in 2002. Since 1994 they have been involved in, innovated and developed many of the concepts and standards used in Internet and electronic payments since the emergence of the commercial Internet. In particular they were the first group in the world to guarantee Internet Payments against repudiation.
Since 2003 the team have made significant investments in substantial research and development and firmly believe that voice signatures for transactional and other authentication purposes will become common place. The research focus within the Voice Commerce Group (VCG) since its formation in 2003 has been on the use and application of voice to enable, complete and monetise an extensive range of voice signature based transactional and financial applications. A number of patents and trademarks have been created during this process and the Group continues to file new patents as its processes evolve.
